Why is the local return address important?

Having a local return address set up in your account will allow Mercado Libre to generate the shipping label for the buyer to send the product back, and you will be able to track the shipment.

Also, you will get these benefits:

• Avoid unnecessary mediations that can affect your reputation.
• Get a full refund of the order if there is an issue with the return process.
• Let your buyers apply to Express returns and boost your sales.

If you don't have a local return address, you may lose the item and your money. If it's a Fulfillment product, it will be sent back to our warehouse, where you can schedule a pickup. If you don't pick up your items within 22 days, the product will be donated or destroyed.

We will analyze if a product is eligible for Express returns depending on the product's value, reason of return, and buyer's loyalty level. Review the eligible products per country.
