What are the SEC Certification requirements for selling in Chile at Full?

As a safety measure, some electrical and fuel-based products sold in Chile are required to have a local Electrical Safety Certification (SEC certification). This is a certification mark implemented by the national regulatory agency for electric and fuel-based products, and it aims to inform consumers about the safety and energy efficiency of these appliances.

The SEC certification is a logo with a QR code that the corresponding authority assigns to each brand and model of the product after proving that it is safe to be sold in the country. The energy efficiency stamp is a seal that allows you to know quickly and easily, the energy consumption of appliances and what their energy efficiency level is. Both of them can be obtained through an agent

In order to comply with these requirements, you have to add the images of the SEC Certification seal and the Energy Efficiency stamp (if applicable) in the listings that belong to categories that require SEC certification. Make sure to comply with this regulation as it is your legal representative’s responsibility to ensure that all products have the necessary documentation to be sold in Chilean territory. There may be audits whether products sold are compliant with SEC regulations. In case of non-compliance they may require to remove those listings and stop selling these products.
