What is the Shipping Costs Automation and how to make the most of it?

The Shipping Costs Automation is a solution that seeks to impact the variations that occur in the shipping costs that are reflected in the final price of your listings, without requiring a manual process. In order to boost the competitiveness between prices without impacting your revenue.

The way it works is:

According to the situation, we update the shipping cost and the listing price accordingly – keep in mind these updates will only be applied to the items we can guarantee your revenue on

These pricing updates will be available whenever there is an upcoming change in the shipping costs, so you can optimize your listing prices during the season. And will only activate upon your approval each time.

For you to understand this is the formula applied to calculate the costs:

SC: Shipping costs
FVF: Final value fee
FF: Flat fee

Here are some important things to have in mind to use this function:

  • Bear in mind that the variations in the listing price can go up or down since what will be affected is the shipping cost but your profit won’t be affected.
  • In order to update the listing price this is what we take into account:
    -  The billable (gross) weight is the one considered at the time of making the final update of the listing price
    -  Items where you have changed the price after June 24th are not included
    - All active items
  • You can deactivate  the function at any time within the period between the activation and the automatic update. Please note that once the automation process is in progress, it cannot be disabled
  • If you have agreed to activate the Shipping Costs Automation, the updates on your prices will be reflected as quickly as possible and you will be notified when they’re finished
  • You will be able to continue editing your listings once the automation is active and running (pause them, deactivate them, edit the price, and more).

Keep these recommendations in mind and optimize your listings!
