What are the Express returns conditions?

Once a buyer opens a complaint, they will have the option of initiating an Express return. Before starting the return flow, we analyze if a product is eligible for it depending on its value, reason of return, and buyer's loyalty level. 

In either case of Fulfillment or Direct to consumer shipping, when a product meets the Express returns conditions, this is how the process works:

  • The buyer will open a complaint to return a product, and a shipping label with your registered local return address will be automatically generated. You can check orders with complaints in the Orders section. 
  • You can review the reason for return and contact a representative in the Order details if needed. Mercado Libre has a built-in Spanish-English translator that will automatically translate your messages.
  • Once the buyer dispatches the product, you can verify the status of the product's shipment from the Order details.
    When the product arrives at your local return address, you'll have 30 days to review the product's condition in the claims flow.

You need to set up a local return address for each marketplace and logistic method to get your products back every time buyers initiate a return process. Set up a local return adress.

Having a local return address will allow us to activate Express returns in your listings, and it does not impact your reputation unless you send a different product from what you sold.
