Size chart: reduce returns in your fashion listings
Check out what it is and how to add a chart to your listing to get a better position in the search results.

When buying apparel online, many users often have questions about the product measurements. The size chart is the best option to reduce questions and offer buyers accurate information about the product.

What is a size chart?
It is an equivalence or size chart to add to the listing. This allows you to offer buyers the exact measurements to help them choose the product that meets their needs.
Buyers can check the chart in the product listing by clicking on "Size chart".
How do I create a size chart?
To create your size chart, you have two options:
Automatically: just upload an image of your listing’s measurements, and we’ll digitize it for you.
- We accept images in JPG, JPEG, PNG, or WEBP format.
- Minimum resolution: 80 x 80 pixels.
- Maximum file size: 10 MB.
You can check the info before including it to your listings and make the adjustments you need.
Manually: if you need to create it manually, here’s some recommendations:
- The chart name so it can be easily identified.
- The sizes that may be linked by variations and which are shown in the listing for the buyer.
- In the fashion size charts, you’ll be able to choose whether to complete the body measurements (e.g.: waistline) or the garment measurements (e.g.: sleeve length).
- In the footwear size charts, you will only be able to load the body measurements (e.g.: foot length).

International equivalencies
When you begin listing your products on Mercado Libre, you must consider that you'll attract buyers from around the world. Different regions and websites may have varying ways of displaying fashion products size.
To ensure a seamless shopping experience for your customers, it is essential including international size equivalents in your listings. This helps buyers quickly find the right fit.
Keep in mind you only need to add these size equivalencies once.
When to add a size chart to your listing
You can create a new size chart or add one that has already been used before and is compatible with your product.
Here are the situations where you can add it:
When creating your listing
While creating the listing, you can add an existing size chart or create a new one.
When making individual changes
For existing listings, you can link or edit the size chart. Select a listing from the list, click the three dots on the right, and choose the “Edit” option. Go to the size chart section, choose the chart, and click “Confirm” to save your changes.

When editing with the Online bulk editor
In “Edit in the Bulk editor” tool, select or create a size chart directly in the “Size chart” column.

When listing in bulk with an Excel spreadsheet
All size charts have a code, which is required if you create listings using a spreadsheet. To get it, click the “Size charts” section in Excel, then select “Go to size charts.”
You can also go to “Listings,” then “Selling preferences,” and finally “Search and create size charts for your listing.”
In both cases, you can create a new chart or copy the code from an existing one.
What are the advantages of offering a size chart?
Reduces returns
With the size chart in the listings, the buyers will know exactly what they are buying and you will have less returns due to the wrong size.
Reduces the quantity of questions
By informing the measurements of the products properly you prevent your buyers from making questions.
Improve your position in the search results
By receiving fewer returns in your listings, your reputation improves and your products will appear at the top of the search results, increasing your exposure.
