Why was the account suspended?

Recommendations to avoid infringing intellectual property

• Offer only original products. It is prohibited to list fake products or replicas.
• Do not mention other brands, only if you are authorized to do so.
• Do not use words like: “equal to”, “similar” or “kind of” in the listing title or product specification sheet.
• Use your own texts in the descriptions.
• Use your own photos and avoid using photos upon which you do not have rights.

 

The importance of having a good reputation

We could suspend your account to sell on Mercado Libre due to bad reputation and repeated problems with your buyers. Avoid having a red reputation for more than 30 days and having issues with your orders. 

Remember that if you continue with a red color reputation for a prolonged period, you may infringe the selling commitment mentioned in our Terms and conditions and we will have to permanently suspend your account and you will not be able to create any more listings in Mercado Libre.

 

How to avoid the shutdown of your account

1. Review your listings with infringements to understand what happened with them.
2. Then, check your active listings to make sure they comply with the recommendations you find in this article.
3. If you have active listings with similar characteristics to the ones that had infringements, please edit or remove them immediately.
4. Improve your reputation by delivering products on time, not canceling your orders, and ensuring you provide a good experience to your buyers, avoiding complaints.
