How are fees charged on Mercado Libre?

Mercado Libre has different types of fees related to selling, storing, and shipping products. It's important to understand how these fees work and how they are calculated.

Selling Fee

Listing products in Mercado Libre is free. However, you'll be charged a Selling Fee based on the category of your listing once an order is placed. Review Selling fees per category.

What does the Premium Listing category include? 

  • Maximum exposure

  • Unlimited duration

  • Offer your products in installments without interest.

Additional Per Unit Fee

Keep in mind that an Additional Per Unit Fee will apply as follows:

Mexico 🇲🇽

  • MXN 20 will be applied to each product that is priced with an equal or lower value than MXN 599.

  • This fee will be charged at the time of sale in Mexican pesos but billed in dollars.

  • If your Selling Price after applying a promotion falls at or below MXN 599, you will incur this Additional Per Unit Fee.

  • Note that the system will not allow you to list products priced below USD 15.

Argentina 🇦🇷

  • ARS 1,800 will be applied to each product that is priced with an equal or lower value than ARS 33,000.

  • This fee will be charged at the time of sale in Argentinian pesos but billed in dollars.

  • If your Selling Price after applying a promotion falls at or below ARS 33,000, you will incur an ARS 1,800 Additional Per Unit Fee.

  • Note that the system will not allow you to list products priced below USD 15 and above USD 3,000.

Chile 🇨🇱

  • CLP 1,650 will be applied to each product that is priced with an equal or lower value than 15,650.
  • This fee will be charged at the time of sale in Chilean pesos but billed in dollars.
  • If your Selling Price after applying a promotion falls at or below CLP 15,650, you will incur an CLP 1,650 Additional Per Unit Fee.
  • Note that the system will not allow you to list products priced below USD 15 and above USD 3,000.

Shipping & Logistic Fee

When you list an item, you find an estimated shipping & logistic fee based on the declared gross weight. Every time you dispatch an order, we weigh and measure your shipment, then update the listing’s dimensions and gross weight, as well as the shipping fees if we find differences with the information you declared. Storage Service Fee

The service for storing stock at Full has a cost; it will apply to all the units you have in the warehouse according to their size and storage time. This fee is charged daily and billed monthly. Remember you can download a complete report on your units and storage services fees generated. 

Long-term storage fee

Items stored in our fulfillment centers for more than 120 days will generate a monthly per-unit fee. This fee depends on the product's storage time and its size within its primary packaging. You can avoid them by selling, discarding, or retrieving them on time.
