Payments of returned items
Depending on the case, Mercado Libre will determine if the refund should be issued to the buyer, the seller, or both.
In some cases, the seller may decide to issue a direct refund to the buyer to close the complaint without the need for mediation. To do this follow these steps:
- Locate the Closed Order in the Orders section and click on View compliant.
- Once you’re on the complaint details page, scroll down and click on Refund the money.
- Finally, click on Confirm to issue a direct refund to the buyer. Doing so will close the complaint and avoid affecting your reputation.
